Life Has Been A Blur …

Ever since we found out Rudy got his new job, life has begun to move in hyper warp speed.  I thought I couldn’t keep up with things before, now it is even worse … but in a good way of course!

What have we been up to?

Keri played the violin at her school’s Spring Concert night.  She has been taking lessons once a week at school.

Cory graduated from kindergarten. He had a STELLAR year, but he is a bit nervous to start first grade … especially since it will most likely be at a new school.

Ari learned to smile and laugh. I can’t believe our littlest munchkin is now 2 months old!  He is taking after his oldest brother. At his 2 month appointment he weighed in at a whopping 14 lbs 10 ounces!?!  [For those who are wondering, Cory was 15 lbs 13 ounces when he was 2 months old.]  I have been calling Ari our “Gentle Giant” for fun :) !!

Keri sang with her school choir for an evening recital.  Here she is with some of her choir friends.  She has been singing with this choir since kindergarten – that is 5 years!

We had lots of family come to town for Ari’s baby blessing.  We had a grand time hanging out together and celebrating the 4th of July with close friends who serve as my family since mine lives so far away!

Little Eli turned 3!  He is still my sweet and charming boy, but I am not too sure if his threes are going to be the “terrific threes” like other people so often call them. He is fiercely independent and stubborn – not sure where he got those traits from ;) !!

And last, but definitely not least, we are in the process of buying a home.  Holy smokes, that sounds like such a grown-up thing to do?!?

I am definitely getting a crash course in what it entails to buy a house and I am getting really excited to move … though I am not looking forward to all the packing I need to do in the next 5 weeks.  Hopefully I will find some time in between nursing Ari and refereeing my kids who are out of school for the summer.  Lately the two older boys seem like they have become mortal enemies and they love to push each others buttons and bicker.  Hopefully this phase won’t last too long!

And hopefully my patience returns soon.  Going to bed every night after midnight with an infant in the home because you are trying to get too much done since that is the only quiet and uninterrupted time you seem to get  (and because Redfin sucks you in!), is not a good habit to get into.

What a fun end of the school year! I know you’re going through the refining fire right now. It will definitely be a very exciting and memorable summer for you! I echo Liz – you are so strong and faithful and organized! With those attributes, you can’t go wrong! Hold tight and things will work out just fine (I need to give myself my own advice!).
