Life Other Than Packing

Other than packing, here are a few things that have been happening in our family.

Keri has been taking sewing classes from my “mom away from home.”  She has quite the talent for sewing, something she got from her grandmas and definitely not me.  It won’t take long before she surpasses me in sewing knowledge.

Eli turned 18 months … well, now he is 19 months.  He has been my tiniest babe so far.  His height and weight fall near the 30th percentile.

Although he might be small, he has no problem getting into large amounts of mischief.  He is definitely my most curious child. He loves to climb, swing like a monkey, act like Gumby (his flexibility is incredible), and overall wreak havoc.  But he sure is sweet and cuddly, especially when he gives you snuggles and says, “Mama.”

Keri finally lost her two front teeth.  They have been loose since before Christmas, and they both fell out within days of each other. I love her toothless grin!

Cory, my red headed “little man,” just turned 5 on the 12th of February. It amazes me that he is now kindergarten age.  The time has flown by!  He is already reading quite proficiently by himself (books like I.Q. Goes to School), he can count and write to 100, he can write all his letters and he loves to draw and do artwork.

He is a sweet gentleman who likes to hold doors open for people.  He is also fiercely independent and likes to do things his own way.  His stubbornness comes from both his mom and his dad :) !

He still adores anything and everything that has to do with cars and machines.  He loved his rock construction cake.

Keri and I also got a small break from real life this last weekend.  Rudy stayed home with the boys while she and I traveled to Utah to visit family.  It was a short trip, but much fun was had by all.  Not much can beat hanging out with sisters and cousins and gabbing and playing games and consuming way too many calories!

Now back to life and back to reality. We move next weekend and I still have half the house to pack!?!

Toodles!

  8. Wow, Eli is sooooo big (and so are the other two). I can’t believe how fast they grow. I also have a mischief maker on my hands. Last night Aaron managed to cover our entire dining room, walls included, with grape soda and corn.
