Like Father, Like Daughter
While helping Keri with an at-home school art project, I reminded her not to forget to do something. A few minutes later, she realized on her own that she still hadn’t done what I had already reminded her to do.
She then promptly and matter-of-factly exclaimed, “Oops. I’m just like Daddy. I forgot to do something.”
I laughed pretty hard, especially when I retold the story to Rudy later.

Kids are so perceptive aren’t they?

I’m guessing there are worse habits she could pick up from him?

I think you should keep that “mommy’s don’t forget” myth going as long as you can.

Too cute! I fear for the day when my daughter starts recognizing many of her weaknesses were passed down from me!

Sadly, in my house, I’m the one who forgets EVERYTHING.
That is so cute.

She is so beautiful! She is so grown yet I’d completely recognize her if we were at a park together or something. I think she looks a lot like you. And, she’s already in 1st grade?! That is so bizarre! Melissa begins K this fall and I’m freaking out over it some days and ready to drop her off the other days!
I’m glad your storm is behind you now! You are an inspiration to me.

What a cutie! I would love for my kids to think that I’m the one with the good memory…I forget exactly why…

Oops! I gotta run. It’s my day to help read in my daughter’s class. I completely forgot. Ü hee hee

that’s right baby…we are perfect! Even though while telling a story to my cousin about my oldest daughter and i going to get a treat together….she happen to throw in there that I had gotten “upset” with someone and what I had said. OOPPS! Note to self….more charity…more careful!

Brilliant, brilliant child.
I only hope Emma makes a connection like that some day. The way things have been going lately though, I’ll have lost my mind entirely by the time she’s old enough to do so!

I guess we do get a little credit for remembering to feed, wash, change, dress, and care for the kids everyday. Perhaps since we don’t forget those things, we get the prize for not forgetting!

Oh wow. She is cute!
