Within the last couple of months, Keri has taken off with reading. This was the first “long” book she has read on her own. She laid on her bed and devoured it in a little over an hour. Apparently she has seen how much her parents love to escape in their books

A person can never be bored with a book around. How absolutely wonderful that she enjoys reading. My granddaughter likes the Junie B Jones books too. They’re pretty cute.

It’s so fun when they can finally read on their own! Camille loves Junie B Jones. She is doing her first book report this week on Junie B Jones is a Graduation Girl. We decorated a t-shirt with grape juice and purple polka-dots to show what happened in the book.

Junie B books are awesome! I have five boys and NO girls, but my boys have all enjoyed Junie B. Jones through the years. We have most of them.

I can’t wait for that!! We both love to read, so I hope our kids continue the way they are now. I think they’d have me read to them for hours if I had the voice for it!

Yay for Keri. I love to see kids reading. I always figured she would be a reader, though, she is just that kind of girl.

Yay for chapter books! She looks so proud! I was so relieved when my daughter started reading chapter books. Coming home from the library with 20 chapter books every week was a lot easier than dragging 60 picture books home. Now that my kids are reading longer chapter books library trips are even easier!
