The end of July already?!? Where is the summer going? I am not ready for school to be starting up again in 5 weeks. I want the sunshine and fun to stick around. This has been my first official summer break since my oldest just finished all day kindergarten this last year and thankfully she hasn’t uttered the words, “I am bored” at all. In fact, just today she was wishing she had more time to do things and that was after she went to gymnastics, got her haircut, went to the zoo and then played with all her little toys while her younger brother napped.
Here’s the menu for the week:
Monday: Sloppy Joes, fruit and veggies
Tuesday: Tortilla Soup
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Lemon Herb Chicken and Vegetable Couscous
Friday: Swiss Chicken Bake
Saturday: Grilled Brats, fruit and veggies
Sunday: My Day Off

You have a great menu planned this week. I may have to try that Vegetable Couscous. It looks yummy. Ya know, I think I have some of those gourmet cookbooks covered with dust from when hubby and I were first married too. I should get them out…I just may discover something delicious. Have a great week.

Those dishes sound like my kind of cooking. Thanks for sharing. Lemon Chicken–hmm–think I’ll go for that one first.
I love visiting other blogs and meeting new people, so I’ve chosen you to add to my tag when I post it tomorrow morning. Hope you don’t mind. I’ve run out of friends to annoy and want to branch out a little
Have fun!

Yum, indeed. I’m making a note of that Tortilla Soup. I often make something similar to the swiss chicken bake, only using Monterey Jack and cream of mushroom soup. My kids love it. I may have to try your version!
