Bonk! It’s Not The Perfect Day

Apparently I spoke too soon about my pleasant and perfect day. As I was pushing publish on my last post, Keri came scurrying out of her room for the third time and just as I was ordering her back to bed she blurts out, “Cory got out of his crib. And I didn’t even help him. I tried to put him back in.”

Luckily, Cory didn’t hurt himself so I placed him back in his crib and shut the door …

Pleasantries and Winner of the Book

Today has been a very pleasant day. Nothing extraordinary happened, but it just had the perfect blend of work, playing with the kids and relaxation.

This morning Keri and I labored on her first ever school report and then this afternoon we headed to the local lake to get some exercise. I walked, Cory sat in the stroller, Keri rode her bike and Rudy jogged. While on our excursion we noticed two firetrucks and an amused crowd gathered around a rather large tree. Apparently our tax dollars were hard at work. A strong and daring fireman was climbing the monstrous evergreen to rescue a parrot. Yes, you read that right, a parrot. Supposedly this was a non-flying parrot, but it somehow managed to escape the grasp of its owner and ended up in a very tall tree.
