Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies
I suppose I might be a little presumptuous in claiming that this is the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, but as far as my palate is concerned, it is pretty darn close.
Last year my sister and I were on the quest to find the perfect recipe for these heavenly chocolate filled circles and my sister glady tested and tested recipes until we settled on this one. Not only were we looking for an incredible tasting cookie, but we wanted one that was somewhat crunchy on the outside, chewy in the middle and one that would retain its shape and never go flat.
Now if I could just stop eating them, or better yet if I could just find a way to make them calorie free, then we would truly be in the perfection business.
I now present you with the …
Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 sticks butter (meaning 1 cup butter)
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 cups flour
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups chocolate chips
In a mixer, cream the butter. Add the vanilla, sugar and slightly beaten eggs. Mix in the dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-13 minutes.
Enjoy!

I’m always looking for the *perfect* recipe. Can’t wait to try

I use to think that Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips were the best. I now think that Costco’s BIG BAG (I think Kirkland brand) is by far tastier.
Happy Sunday!

I used to love the Costco big bag brand, too, but I think we got a bad bag last time or something. They were yucky, and I love chocolate, so that’s saying something!
I will try these cookies, even though I shouldn’t.
They look beautiful!

I may have to try this one. It’s similar to the Tollhouse ones with some ingredient increases. Yummmmm…..

That’s pretty close to my recipe. My sister-in-law makes them with vanilla pudding mix. Her cookies are AWESOME so I’m dying to get her recipe.

I love cookies, so will have to try these. But first I have a really dumb question. How much is 2 sticks? Is it the same as here in Canada and 1/2 cup per stick? So 1 cup butter? Ya… I’m feeling really dumb.

I made this last night, started about 9p.m. and I was done before 10 ( sometimes two sheets at once). My husband LOVES them and he even commented on how quickly I made them. I was a little iffy about the amount of vanilla, but my mom said it’d be ok, so I made them and they are mso delicious!
