Becky of This Mom’s Journey tagged me for the music meme. I am supposed to list 7 songs I am currently into, but since I sometimes tend to be a non-conformist, I am going to tweak this and list 13
!!
I like a wide variety of music – soundtracks, eighties, instrumental, current rock and pop – but right now I am into my new tiny green iPod shuffle which I use when I workout at the gym. All these songs are upbeat, they get me moving and they make me smile.
1. Black Horse and The Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall
2. Conga by Gloria Estefan
3. Walk Like an Egyptian by The Bangles
4. Asereje (The Ketchup Song) by Las Ketchup (No I don’t like this group just because of their name. This is a great running song!)
5. Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
6. Informer by Snow
7. We Belong by Pat Benatar
8. Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler
9. Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega
10. Take On Me by A-ha
11. The Promise by When In Rome
12. Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira
13. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield – I love how these lyrics invite you to experience life and live it personally!
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
If you haven’t been tagged for this meme yet and you want to play along, consider yourself now “it.” Make sure you leave me a comment so I can come visit your list of seven or thirteen … or whatever number you decide to choose!

I have a “Pump it up” playlist with a few of these songs. I would like to check out the few I don’t. Listening to music does make the time fly by while exercising!

I’ve been tagged for this meme. However, I share an ipod with my hubby. And I would hate to include all his frightening Metallica on the list…
