Weddings, Funerals, Church Services and Toddlers, Oh My!

This time around the topic for Woman to Woman which is hosted so kindly by Lei of My Many Colored Days and by Morning Glory of Seeds From My Garden is the following:

“Is it really a family night out?” Share your views regarding children under age 5 attending formal events such as funerals, concerts, weddings, even church services. We hope that those of you who have “tried and true” tips and tricks up your sleeve will share those as well.

To be completely honest, I feel entirely incompetent to even be writing a post on this topic. Fortunately I have never been to a funeral so I have nothing to offer there. As far as concerts go, if I am spending the money to listen to some magnificent music then I am most definitely going to spend even more money and hire a sitter so I can enjoy the concert. Unless of course it is a concert to teach cultural appreciation to kids, but more likely than not those children will be over five.
