Works-For-Me: The TV Guard Spells No More Button Pushing

If your children are anything like mine, then they love to push buttons … especially the TV buttons when you are trying to watch a show. It is one of the myraid of ways they explore their world, but it can also be quite bothersome. When my little girl, who is now 5, was at the TV button pushing stage we simply taught her within a few days that such behavior was not acceptable. However, trying to teach this same concept to my son was a whole new ballgame. No matter what tactic we pursued, we could not get him to stop pushing buttons … and moving the television to higher ground simply was not an option.
