Gratitude #30
Since today is the last day of November, this will be my last gratitude post … at least for this particular month of Thanksgiving. Hopefully I will continue to always express my gratitude for the things I have been blessed with in my life. I am really glad I took this opportunity to write down the things I am thankful for because it has helped me to take a moment and slow down and reflect upon how much I truly have in this life! There are many times in my life where I wish I had this or I wish I could do that, but when it really comes down to it, I have everything I really need.
November 30. I am eternally grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful that He is my Comforter, my Redeemer, my Mediator and my Friend. I am so grateful for the Atonement and for His selfless sacrifice that He so willingly performed so that one day I might be able to return to Him and my Heavenly Father and my Heavenly Mother.
I am grateful that the Atonement allows me to repent for the things I have done which are wrong and how it also lets me repent for the things that I should be doing, but I am not. I am grateful for the Atonement and that it heals me when others might hurt me and how it heals me when I endure trials that I am given that help me grow so I can become more like Him. I am grateful for the Atonement and how it makes up the difference when I do the best that I can, but I still fall short. I am grateful for the Atonement and how it helps me to accept and be humbled by my own inadequacies. I am grateful for the tender mercies and grace that the Lord continually bestows upon me. And I am so grateful for the very personal and real relationship that I share with my elder brother. He truly is the anchor in my life!
