To blog or not to blog … that is the question

I have been considering writing a blog for awhile now.  I have a lot of friends who blog and I have really enjoyed reading their entries.  Blogging also seems very therapeutic.  It gives you a venue to write down all of your thoughts that have randomly been floating around your brain. It gives them a voice and it helps you sort through everything.  This is especially helpful when you are a stay at home mother of two young kids – it is sometimes difficult to talk to toddlers and preschoolers all day.

I also wanted to start a blog as a way to keep all of my friends and family updated on everything going on in my life and the life of my kids and husband.  After all, in my family I am the black sheep since I am the only one who resides more than a 50 minute car ride away … depending on traffic of course.  I live more like 1320 minutes away – and that is with no traffic!

So why not blog then, you might ask?  I guess the only real reason why I am hesitant to do it is because I want to remain semi-anonymous, mainly to protect my family, in particular my children.  But you know what?  I am going to try this blogging thing out.  I will just try and stay vague enough to be semi-anonymous, but not vague enough so I can still be myself.  I don’t know if anyone will even read this site, but how will I ever know if I never try?

So here it goes … what a feeling!  Blogging is empowering!
